State Tax Filing Deadline Extension
On October 10, 2022, Governor Kirk Paul announced that the State Of Mesa would extend the Tax filing deadline from the existing January 1, 2023 and move the deadline to be on March 1, 2023, with the cut off being March 2, 2023. In response to this directive from Governor Kirk Paul, the Mesa Tax Office is implementing resources and tools for you to use to aid you in filing your 2022 Mesa Taxes, and ensure that you do so in a timely manner consistent with Mesian Tax Code and Jesstopian Tax Code.
The new deadline is ONLY for the FILING of your taxes. The deadline for tax collection will be held on June 5, 2023, and this is when penalties will begin to accrue on a credit report and issuing banks will be charged for your failure to pay your taxes owed.
